▍Introduction to the power battery certification project
● ECE-R-100
ECE-R-100: Battery Eletric Vehicle Safety, a regulation promulgated by the United Nations Economic Commission of Europe (ECE). At present, ECE includes 37 countries in Europe. In addition to EU member states, it also includes non-EU countries such as Eastern Europe and Southern Europe. In terms of safety testing, ECE is the only official standard in Europe.
● Logo usage: The following logos are used for certified electric vehicle batteries.
Minimum a=8mm
E4: Represents the Netherlands (different countries and regions have different digital codes, such as E5: Sweden);
100R: represents the regulatory number;
022492: Approval number (certificate number);
● Test item: The test object is the battery pack. If the module can replace the battery pack for part of the test, the module test can be used.

▍National new energy vehicle production enterprises and product access management regulations
The "Regulations on the Administration of New Energy Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Access" were reviewed and approved at the 26th ministerial meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on October 20, 2016, and came into effect on July 1, 2017.

▍Introduction to India traction battery test requirements
The Indian Government enacted Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR) in 1989. The Rules stipulates that all road motor vehicles, construction machinery vehicles, agricultural and forestry machinery vehicles that are applicable to CMVR must apply for compulsory certification from certification bodies accredited by the Ministry of Transport of India. The Rules marks the beginning of vehicle certification in India. On September 15, 1997, the Indian government established the Automotive Industry Standard Committee (AISC), and the secretary ARAI drafted the relevant standards and issued them.
Traction battery is the key safety component of vehicles. ARAI successively drafted and issued the standards AIS-048, AIS 156 and AIS 038 Rev.2 specifically for its safety test requirements. As the earliest standard, AIS 048 will be replaced by AIS 156 & AIS 038 Rev.2 from April 1, 2023.

No certification mark for such approval at present, and only test report will be required for the power battery according to the AIS standard.

▍VR certification of Vietnam
● Brief introduction to VR certification of Vietnam
Since 2005, the Vietnamese government has successively promulgated a series of laws and regulations to put forward relevant certification requirements for complete motor vehicles and their parts. The department of product market access management is the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam and its subordinate motor vehicle registration bureau, which implements the Vietnam Register. System (referred to as VR certification).
The certification mode is vehicle type approval, and the main basis is:
Decision No. 58/2007/QS-BGTVT on November 21, 2007, issued by the Minister of Transport on the Type Approval Specifications for Motorcycles and Mopeds manufactured and assembled in Vietnam.
Decision No. 34/2005/QS-BGTVT on July 21, 2005, issued by the Minister of Transport on the Type Approval Specifications for Motor Vehicles Manufacturing and Assembling in Vietnam.
Decision No. 57/2007/QS-BGTVT on November 21, 2007 issued by the Minister of Transport on the Type Approval Specifications for imported motorcycles and engines
Decision No. 35/2005/QS-BGTVT on July 21, 2005, issued by the Minister of Transport on the inspection specifications of imported motor vehicles.
● Status of VR product certification in Vietnam:
The Vietnam Motor Vehicle Registration Bureau began to compulsorily conduct Vietnam VR certification for auto parts requirements of aftermarket in April 2018. The current compulsory certification product range includes helmets, safety glasses, wheels, rearview mirrors, tires, headlights, Fuel tanks, batteries, interior materials, pressure vessels, power batteries, etc.
